Kirill Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus, Mufti Sheikh Rawil Gaynetdin, Chairman of the Mufti Council of Russia and Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar sent the greeting letters to the organizers of the II International Exhibition of Calligraphy. From October 29 till November 1, 2009 the Crocus Expo exhibition centre hosted the 11th trade fair Wooden House Building/HOLZHAUS 2009 organized by the International Exhibition Company MVK. The show demonstrated consumables and technologies for production of glulam and LVL houses, carcass and panel framed technologies of wooden-house building, rounded log and felling.

The International Forum PCVEXPO 2009. Pumps. Compressors. Valves took place in the Crocus Expo exhibition centre in Moscow from October 13 till October 16, 2009. Among the Forum’s exhibitors there was company StroyCapitalGroup.

The Valve Oscar 2009 ceremony of awards came around as part of the VIII International Forum PCVEXPO 2009. This was not a chance event for the PCVEXPO forum is the largest and most prestigious trade show in Russia dedicated to the pipeline installations. The annual Valve Oscar prize is awarded for the outstanding achievements in the valve manufacturing industry. The award was instituted in 2006 by the Pipeline Fitting and Equipment, international magazine editorial staff. The 11th International specialized exhibition Wooden House Building/Holzhaus was opened on October 29, 2009 at 12 pm, hall 7, pavilion 2 of the Crocus Expo Exhibition Centre.

Today, on August 28 2009 the creative team of the Documentary and socio-political Direction REN-TV came to the Contemporary museum of calligraphy. The documentary film has been being shot for several months already. It reveals the historical theory Alexander I of Russia did not die in in 1825 in Taganrog on his voyage to the South of Russia. Many people, including some historians, supposed that a mysterious hermit Feodor Kuzmich (or Kozmich) who emerged in Siberia in 1836 and died in the vicinity of Tomsk in 1864 was in fact Alexander I under an assumed identity.

This is the name of an art piece created by a famous artist working in Tibetan calligraphy. The Contemporary museum of calligraphy commissioned the masterpiece at a man – well-know calligrapher who devoted his life to Buddhism and Tibetan calligraphy – Tashi Mannox.

Last weekend, on August 22 and 23, the Moscow audience had a rare opportunity to taste the flavor of subtle art… The Contemporary museum of calligraphy was open all day long without any previous appointment!

A personal show of a world-famous photographer Tim Flach, the prize-winner of international contests, author of unequalled in style and expression animal photos, will be organized in Moscow for the first time ever.

On July 24, 2009 management of the Contemporary museum of calligraphy met with a participant of the American National Exhibition held in Moscow’s Sokolniki exhibition centre in 1959.

June 23, 2009 the representatives of OJSC "MRSK Holding" took part in the presentation operations performed by the manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).

Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy Alexey Shaburov and his councilor Ludmila Kulanina visited the holy places and went sightseeing over Jerusalem where the consultant of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy Avraham-Hersh Borshevsky acted as their guide.  Jerusalem aging four millenniums is said to be the holiest place in the world for the Jews and Christians and the third holy site for the Muslims.

The rarest piece of applied calligraphy has been delivered to Moscow. It is a sculpture by a famous American artist George Beckman in its polished steel reflecting light clouds and dizzy banks of the ex-pilot…

Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy Alexey Shaburov and President of the National Union of Calligraphy Petr Chobitko held a meeting with the Chairman of the Holy Synod Department for Church and Public Relations, Very Reverend archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin in Danilov Monastery.  In the course of the meeting they touched upon the large and exciting work which has already been done in the context of the project.

Last week the pavilions of the cultural and exhibition center Sokolniki welcomed the two major events of A Just Russia party.

On June 13 the International residential estate Rosinka which tenants are mainly the families from more than thirty countries, top managers of domestic and foreign companies, representatives of embassies and trade missions in majority, celebrated its 19th anniversary.

The 14th International specialized exhibition for packaging Rosupak 2009 opened in Moscow on June 15. It will last till June 19. At present moment the show is the largest packaging exhibition in Russia and Eastern Europe, the exposition area covers 28, 000 sq.m.

Predictably, Rome has turned out to be a very productive fairground for the International exhibition of calligraphy. But it is small wonder in the country where there was first born a vibrant clear art. We had a pleasure to meet a really uncommon person – an Italian calligrapher Massimo Polello.

A new project participant Abdul Baki Bin Abu Bakar, the Islamic calligraphy artist, professor of the International Islamic University of Malaysia, born in the northern state of Kedah featuring special quiet beauty of vast rice fields, green after planting and golden during harvesting.

This month the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy acquired a new and unique exhibit: a script book Decalogue made of natural materials and issued in limited edition.

On June 1, 2009 Director of the Contemporary museum of calligraphy Alexey Shaburov and his Counsellor Ludmila Kulanina were officially met in Jerusalem by the Head of the National Library of Israel. During the meeting Director General Mr. Shmuel Har-Noy introduced to his Russian guests the heads of different library departments who told about their work. They showed invaluable illustrated medieval folio written in Hebrew, old maps of the Holy Land, ornate Ketubbot (traditional Jewish marriage contracts) made in baroque Italy.

Her shows were organized in Moscow, Tokyo and New York. The artist’s works are a surprising combination of art and poetry by the renowned Persian writers.

After the large-scale project “International Exhibition of Calligraphy” in the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts the art of calligraphy is keeping on acquiring more and more amateurs. On May 5, 2009 the Record House of Youths welcomed opening of the exhibition Calligraphy of Petersburg which was organized in the context of the project Art Petersburg with support of Tretyakov’s Gallery. The exposition display included the works of the best Russian calligraphers and participants of our project.

On April 28 JSC “International Exhibition Company”, MVK held a meeting with the delegation of representatives of the exhibition centres of Finland. The meeting was organized by MVK International Exhibition Company and travel agency MVK Travel. The meeting programme included visits to the leading exhibition centres of Moscow: Sokolniki Exhibition Centre, Crocus Expo and Expocenter.

On May 24 the entire Slavonic community commemorates Saints Cyril and Methodius and celebrates the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture. FASTTEC'2009 opened in Crocus Expo Exhibition Centre in Moscow on 18th, March, 2009, lasting for 4days. The opening ceremony was held at 12:00 am of the first day and the organizer extended all exhibitors and visitors a warm welcome.

Installation of a new pavilion at the territory of Sokolniki culture and exhibition centre finished on March 31. Despite a short build-up period (the pavilion installation took three weeks) it was a labour-consuming process. Children are those people, for whom grown-ups organize the major part of all the cultural and art events. And our exhibition is not an exception, as it was inspired by a little son of the project author Alexey Shaburov. We take care about the children and it can be read in the mission of our project which says we intend to form the beautiful and healthy society.

All the comers today had an opportunity to attend a new master0class given by Georgy Kozubov. This time the master spoke about the easel and applied calligraphy.

Today the framework of the exhibition included a master-class of Avraham-Hersh Borshevsky devoted to the kosher calligraphy. 

Sometimes the walls not only listen, but also speak. But they speak in a whisper, many people can not hear them whispering. At their master-class the spouses Andrea and Thomas Folker Wunderlich did an impossible thing – they made people hear the walls speaking.

Today, all the comers enjoyed a master-class given by the candidate of art history, professor, member of the Union of artists Georgy Kozubov. His topic was the classical and contemporary calligraphy.

The mission of the project is to teach the society to strive for culture and beauty. And it is better start from the early childhood.

Today the organizers of the exposition in the Contemporary museum of calligraphy prepared something else – today the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Union of Calligraphers Petr Chobitko, who is the creator of the first in Russia handwritten variant of the Constitution gave his master-class.

On Friday, December 12, Evgeny Dobrovinsky unearthed a mystery of calligraphy – at his master-class Mr. Dobrovinsky spoke about the history of the alphabet. He also told the wide audience about his oeuvre and shared some of his secrets.

Late in the evening, on the eve of the Day of the Russian Constitution, our correspondent posed questions to the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Union of Calligraphers Petr Chobitko about the handwritten Constitution of the Russian Federation.

No one is born with an ability to write. First, when at school we steadily write letters on paper. After a while this process becomes automatic. We think of WHAT to write almost never realizing HOW we do it. One’s handwriting is related to one’s psychological and physical state. The letterforms, their height and slope can say a lot about one’s character.

The third working day of the exposition in the Contemporary museum of calligraphy bore many surprises. As it is known calligraphy is the art of beautiful writing. But what happens if a professional graphologist tries to reveal all secrets of letters?

Today Chinese calligrapher Mr. Chen Wen Fu gave his master class at the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy.

It has been two years today, since the exhibition at the Eiffel Tower was organized within the remarkable project MVK “Two Parises”.  Alexey Shaburov, the man who presented to all of us the wonderful International Exhibition of Calligraphy was the author of this project.

The exposition of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy was completely formed last night. A work of a famous graphic artist, calligrapher and painter Evgeny Drobyazin was added to the exposition.

Today, on December 4 the social and educational MVK project “International Exhibition of Calligraphy” celebrates its first birthday. Millions of our compatriots have learnt about the art of calligraphy. The interest to this ancient art on the part of people appreciating their Motherland, people and cultural heritage was great.

The visitors of Mashex 2009 will be the first to study the unique devices in the pavilion of robotics technology. On May 19 will be held the conference “Robotization and automation in machine-building industry” where the floor will be given to the leading robot manufacturers. The organizing committee starts to take the applications and theses of the future reports.

WOODEX/Lestehprodukzia demonstrates a unique system which combines an equalizing circular saw Altendorf F 45 ELMO IV software and furniture construction system Basis-furniture maker. Now the machine operator can simply read off the bar code with a hand scanner from the screen on which all settings are displayed and the machine will independently choose the suitable sequence of operations.

Touching, sometimes naive and often highly professional artworks of young artists show how young generation sees the present and future of forests.

On November 26-27 Konstantinovsky Palace (St. Petersburg) hosted the 2nd convention of the Association of Wooden House Building. MVK International Exhibition Company is an equal partner of the Association and conference.

On March 11-12, 2009 IEC "Crocus Expo" (Moscow) will welcome the 6th International industrial forum GEOFORM+ 2009. The organizers of the 17th International capital construction week launched a large-scale advertising campaign in October and November 2008. All the available media outlets were involved. The result was not long in coming: from five to six new exhibitors apply for participation every day!

On November 27 was the last working day of the International Industrial Exhibitions 2008 which had been working at Sokolniki exhibition centre for three days.

The exhibitors are satisfied with the work of the exhibition. The sales and contracts are booming.

On December 3 during WOODEX/Lestehprodukzia 2008 (IEC “Crocus Expo”, Moscow) will be held the conference “Russian woodworking tools: assortment and competitive advantages”. The conference is organized by Drevmash Russian Association of Woodworking Equipment Manufacturers.

The international workshop conference OGE/ Machinery and technologies for oil spill response and fire-fighting appliance held on November 10-11, 2008 alongside with WASMA 2008 at Sokolniki exhibition centre (Moscow) covered the problems of oil spill liquidation technologies and practices, protection of coastal margins, financing of examination and liquidation of oil contamination.

Having arrived from a business trip he immediately went the pavilion where 20 days later the audience will be able to see the masterpieces revealing the Mystery of the World Calligraphy.

The first International Exhibition of Calligraphy was held in St. Petersburg. To be able to answer the Petersburgers’ teasers the organizers invited Larissa Drygval, professional graphologist, DSc (psychology), the only Moscow specialists of the Inessa Goldberg School of Graphic Analysis to participate in the Mystery of the World Calligraphy Project. 

Not too long ago pavilion 7 was no more than an empty room. And now MVK Design and MVK Techservice workers every day install the interior partitions instead of the imaginary borders marked by candle lights at the latest team meeting.

The calligraphic society is growing all the time. One more calligrapher joined the project. Bahman Panahi, the calligrapher and musician from Iran, now lives in Paris.

The official closing ceremony of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy has taken place today. The first results of the Project have been summed up, there were outlined some further plans and highlighted a huge social significance of the international forum.

Iliya Trofimovich Bogdesko, the prominent Master of the art of calligraphy, has visited today the International Exhibition of Calligraphy, where he could study the exhibits and meet his colleagues.

On the last working day of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy the interest of the public surpassed all expectations. On this day the lectures and master classes as well as the Project’s exposition attracted a huge number of visitors.

Who will argue that it is very nice to get a rose? Only those who can’t understand beauty, of course. Fortunately, none of them were among visitors of International Calligraphic Exhibition. So everybody without exception was satisfied. Organizers of the exhibition wanted to prove it on practice that all of us can make world more kind and friendly.

"Besides, calligraphy lessons are a must in school schedules. Let’s get back to those copy books featuring inclined lines we used to have at elementary schools. Let’s go without ball point pens, which are harmful in so many ways."

“My home library cannot boast of the manuscript sample of the Constitution dated 1993, but I have several pages taken from this Constitution and featuring the editorial changes made by Anatoly Sobchak”, Mr. V. Churov noted.

The interest to the International Exhibition of Calligraphy has not languished even at the fifth working day of the tremendous event. A greater number of visitors is attending the halls of the Russian Academy of Arts, who keep coming to see the true treasures of various calligraphic schools and trends.

It was amazing to see the black and white decors of the halls alternating with elegant black and white wedding dresses and suits.

The first ever International Calligraphic Exhibition taking place in the city of Saint-Petersburg keeps amazing and surprising its native citizens as well as guests of the capital of the North. Some visitors are virtually found bewildered because of the beauty and luxury they have seen. There are many people queuing before the Guestbook. All of them are filled with pleasure and delight to share their impressions – all visitors are offered a writing pen and ink, not a ball point pen, to write a line or two…

Today is the fourth working day of the Event. The organizers are quite persistent in the desire to show everybody a true international scale of the Exhibition. This comes not from their ambitious natures, but the word “international” comes to be a reflection of things taking place…

In May 18-22, 2009 in Crocus Expo exhibition MASHEX – 2009 will take place. The exposition will be presented in two pavilions of Crocus Expo.

There was no universally accepted flag for Russia until the middle of the 17th century. The earliest mention of the flag occurs during the reign of Tsar Alexis I, in 1668, and is related to the construction of the first Russian naval ship, the frigate Oryol.

On August 8 in St. Petersburg the International Exhibition of Calligraphy organizing committee, President of the National Union of Calligraphers Petr Chobitko met with the famous Russian calligraphers. On August 7 in the I. P. Repin St.-Petersburg State Academic Institute for Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture the team of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy held a meeting with Evgeny Begletsov, the chamber chorus principal conductor and artistic director in Smolny Cathedral.

Vitaly Mitchenko and Vasily Chebanik, calligraphers from Ukraine, have given their works to the exposition of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy. So, Vitaly Mitchenko has presented his handwritten variant of Gogol’s “Viy”, written specially for the 200-anniversary of the author.

Russia is a great museum nation celebrated for cultural traditions and unique literature. And recently Russia gained a new Contemporary museum of calligraphy.

Today Sokolniki Entertainment and Recreation Park has welcomed the first in Russia Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy.

Contemporary museum of calligraphy is ready to welcome the visitors. The preparations are over; exhibits are unique and put at their places so that the audience could see all of them.

On August 1 Russia will welcome the unique museum of lettering, named Modern Museum of Calligraphy. Opening of a Modern Museum of Calligraphy is the threshold of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy.

Shen Peifang is a representative of the contemporary school of Chinese calligraphy, Professor, Editor, Administrative Director of Shanghai Calligraphy Association and Director of Chinese Cang Lang Calligraphy Association.

On July 22 the Museum of Calligraphy was registered as the non-commercial organization. The certificate was issued by the Central Federal District Administration of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.
