EXHIBITIONS – OPPORTUNITIES – MARKETS PROJECT was presented at Eiffel Tower
December 19, 2006

On December 11, 2006, an event, unique in its significance and effects and important for strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Russia and France, took place.

That day, Eiffel Tower of Paris was the site for presentation of Exhibitions – Opportunities – Markets Project, while Russian village of the same name saw implementation of project titled “Two Parises”. Both projects were organized by MVK International Exhibition Holding Company.

Purpose of the project is promotion of trading & economic relationships and mutually beneficial contracts and ties. The presentation in Paris was taken part in by organizers and partners of the event, as well as by governmental officers and representatives of 24 largest Russian exhibition centers and companies having membership in Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs. Exhibitions – Opportunities – Markets Project showed the real opportunities available for French companies for entering the Russian market through exhibitions, because the exhibition business is the most advantageous and efficient tool for promotion of corporate brands into new and promising markets.

Also within the project, the shortest exhibition in the world was held. Its duration was one minute only, and, for this, Russian Book of Records diploma was delivered to its organizers. The guests could see MVK stands listing corporate brands of the leading Russian exhibition companies and exhibition companies.

Concurrently, in the Russian village of Paris in Cheliabinsk Region, MVK International Exhibition Holding Company organized another exhibition titled: “Two Parises”. It was taken part in by about one thousand people, including 8 heads of districts and settlements of the Region, school children from the village of Paris, grammar school children from the city of Cheliabinsk learning to speak French, and all villagers, who were interested in the event. Seven Russian TV channels and four printed media of St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Cheliabinsk and Magnitogorsk were covering the event. Specialists of MVK Holding Company and those of Uralsviazprom, owner of the Urals-located Eiffel Tower, supported the project technically. It was the first time in their life, that residents of Paris of Urals heard of any international exhibitions organized by MVK Holding Company and saw an exhibition display with their own eyes.

Two Parises proved to be fully up to its name: the exhibition was held concurrently in France and in Russia. Residents of Paris of the Urals could see, on a large screen, a live broadcast of presentation taking place in the capital city of France.
