On May 21^st, 2007 there will be a celebration of the 70^th anniversary of the historical event – Conquest of the North pole by the four explorers, under the command of the famous polar explorer, a truly legendary man – Ivan Dmitrievich Papanin.

The project, appropriately timed to this event and is being realized by MVK International Holding Company, has great interest for me and I am sincerely grateful to its organizers.

On behalf of myself and all the relatives of I.D. Papanin, I wish you luck in your noble deed which reflects the patriotic feelings of our history and reminds us of the great exploits of the Russian people.
