The Smart Farm exhibition opened in St. Petersburg
The only in the North-West Russia exhibition of equipment, fodders and veterinary products for livestock and poultry Smart Farm opened in St. Petersburg today.
The exhibition and business program was opened by the plenary session, which was attended by:
  • Elena Pokrovskaya, Minister of agriculture of the Novgorod region
  • Ekaterina Pshennikova, the first Deputy Chairman of the Committee on agriculture and fisheries of the Leningrad region
  • Natalia Shchagina, head of the Department of state veterinary supervision of the Veterinary Department of the Leningrad region
  • Irina Liubina, Director of MVK office in St. Petersburg
 
According to the first Deputy Chairman of the Committee on agriculture and fisheries of the Leningrad region E. I. Pshennikova, "for three years, the exhibition has demonstrated progressive development. Not only farmers, but also farm managers are interested in the exhibition. It is very interesting for production directors and specialists to visit this exhibition every year, because the level that has been reached by enterprises and farms is quite high, and the next stage of development is, of course, innovative methods and technologies that gradually need to be introduced, and in which it is necessary to invest in order to develop effectively."
 
Minister of agriculture of the Novgorod region E. V. Pokrovskaya said in her welcoming speech: "I am sure that the exhibition will be held for the benefit of our farmers, and next year they will take the ideas and solutions that our colleagues from the Leningrad region have found, and will use them in practice for the development of their own farms."
 
The business program of the exhibition was continued by the practical conference "Effective livestock and poultry farming. Successful experience". On the first day of the exhibition, experts discussed the following topics:
  • Processing; factors affecting the quality of milk
  • Beekeeping. Bee keeping in the North-West region
  • Programs of the state support of development of farm animal husbandry and poultry farming in the Leningrad region
  • Successful farming experience. Marketing of farm products, agricultural cooperation
On the second day of the exhibition there will be events on the following topics:
  • Dairy market: growth points
  • Genetics
  • Fodder production
  • The cattle
  • Poultry
  • Veterinary medicine; modern approach to veterinary medicine
More than 60 seminars will be held during the two days of the conference.
The exhibition will continue on 6 December until 18:00, at EXPOFORUM.
